Look Inside New Purpose-built Facility in Sligo

Following a €2.2 million investment, Ward Automation has moved into a new purpose-built facility in Sligo. The new building will allow the company to increase production capacity and will enhance the service it offers to customers.

The new building is close to its previous location in the Finisklin Business Park, Sligo. With the addition of the new facility the company has increased its floor space by four times.

“We continue to see strong growth in the industries we specialise in, and that has led to increased demand from our customers,” said John Ward, Managing Director of Ward Automation. “Our new building gives us increased floorspace and modern facilities that will help us move forward in the next phase of the company’s development We wanted to take the opportunity of building a new facility to reduce our carbon footprint.”

The new Ward Automation design and manufacturing facility in Sligo is state-of-the-art. The building is insulated throughout to a very high specification providing an energy efficient envelope to reduce running costs with several energy-saving features. The build provides for both heating and cooling through high efficiency air source heat pump technology. Matched ventilation and heat recovery to demand of occupancy patterns ensures a comfortable environment for our staff to work in.

The electrical installation incorporates all low energy systems such as automatic switching LED lighting, high efficiency motors and controls that operate efficiently to meet demand.
