Microscopic Medical Ribbon Vision Inspection

On a recent project for a major manufacturer of minimally invasive medical devices, Ward Automation was required to develop a technology capable of non-contact detection of a high precision medical ribbon.

To deal with this challenge, our Engineers researched available technologies and selected an Ultra Narrow Field of view camera.

The technology is now in use on two machines at our customer facility, and a further machine incorporating robotics and multi-axis servo control is currently in final debug at Ward Automation.
